We are delighted to announce Alan Barratt, co-founder of Grenade, as a keynote speaker at the ExCel in London on the 27th and 28th November 2019.
Alan has had a lifelong journey with entrepreneurship starting at the age of 11 when he was nearly expelled from school for selling cakes in the playground to his fellow pupils. He managed to resolve the situation by negotiating a deal to sell to the teachers at preferential rates, and it was at this point he realised he wanted to work for himself and that his powers of persuasion were a valuable asset.
Alan and his wife Juliette founded their private label business, Grenade, in 2009 and started with just £27 in the bank. Their first attempt at producing a weight loss formula was so effective, a friend described the results as explosive, ‘like a grenade’, and that was when the name was born. Fast-forward 10 years and Grenade has gone from strength-to-strength. The business has been featured in The Sunday Times’ Fast Track Top 100 in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017, as well as generating a turnover of £37m in June 2018; proving what hard work and commitment can achieve for those who want to succeed.
Alan’s seminar at the White Label Expo will centre around what makes Grenade unique compared to his competitors; he built a brand. The talk is titled: ‘Build a Brand, not a Business’, where he will discuss the key factors and decisions that led to him building one of the best known and fastest growing businesses in the UK over the past five years.
If you are interested in growing your business into an internationally-renowned brand, and want to learn from one of the best, it is important that you attend Alan’s seminar at the White Label Expo at the ExCel in London on the 27th and 28th November.
