In The Spotlight - Industrial Sonomechanics!

Interested in producing your own water-soluble CBD or THC to infuse coffee, tea, water, beer or another beverage?

If so, please come to Dr. Alexey Peshkovsky’s presentation at Seminar Hall 4 at 11:45 am on Thursday, February 27th, 2020. In his talk, entitled "Water-Soluble" CBD and THC: Ultrasonic Production of Cannabis Extract Nanoemulsions”, Industrial Sonomechanics’ President and Chief Scientific Officer will cover several topics critical to the cannabis-infused beverage industry, as summarized below:

Being insoluble in water, orally administered cannabinoids cannot undergo gastrointestinal absorption until they are incorporated into mixed micelles, which are slowly formed in the small intestine. This presentation will demonstrate how to ultrasonically manufacture translucent “water-solubleCBD/THC nanoemulsions that can be readily mixed into and administered as beverages. Since nanoemulsions closely mimic naturally-formed mixed micelle suspensions, they significantly accelerate the onset of action and increase the bioavailability of incorporated cannabinoids.

Please also come by Booth No. 115, where several Industrial Sonomechanics’ specialists will be available to demonstrate our ultrasonic processors and NanoStabilizer® - an all-in-one blend of tasteless food-grade (GRAS) carrier oils, emulsifiers and preservatives. See how this turn-key technology makes it easy to produce highly translucent, permanently stable and fully water-compatible cannabis extract nanoemulsions without having to go through formulation development, processing parameter optimization or any other type of R&D.

For the past two years, many businesses have been using Industrial Sonomechanics' (ISM, Miami, FL) turnkey technology to convert cannabis extracts (CBD and THC) and other hydrophobic bio-actives into water-soluble, permanently stable, translucent nanoemulsions. Most commonly, the conversion is done in order to enhance the bioavailability and accelerate the onset of action of cannabinoids and to infuse beverages without making them cloudy.

Be sure to check out ISM's technology, comprising ultrasonic liquid processors (laboratory, bench and industrial-scale) and all-in-one NanoStabilizer®. ISM’s product specialists will be happy to demonstrate the process, provide CBD nanoemulsion samples and answer any questions you may have. For more information on ISM's exhibiting booth, check out their exhibitor page here.
